Not all dogs can wolf down just anything. Many react badly to the usual suspects - beef, chicken, dairy, wheat, soy. These are the “top allergens” in dog food. That’s why we don’t go near them. W’ZIS treats are built differently: simple, plant-based, and predominantly single-protein. Which makes them kinder on sensitive stomachs and skin.
What We Leave Out (On Purpose)
- No beef, no chicken, no lamb, no fish. The most common canine allergens.
- No wheat or soy. Two fillers that often cause itching, ear infections, or digestive upset.
- No dairy. Lactose is a frequent culprit for bloating and diarrhoea.
- No sugar, no syrups, no molasses. Irritants your dog doesn’t need.

What We Put In (On Purpose)
- Sweet potato flour. Our main ingredient. Naturally hypoallergenic, highly digestible, gentle on the gut, and loaded with fibre and micronutrients. It gives structure to the treat without wheat or grains.
- Pea protein. A single, consistent protein source that’s easier on the system than mixed or meat-based proteins.
- Pumpkin & sweet potato. Gentle, digestible fibres that bring flavour and keep digestion steady.
- Chickpea flour. Nutrient-dense base, low in allergens, adds structure and bite.
- Beetroot & red cabbage powders. Natural colour, mild earthy notes, and phytonutrients.
- Tomato powder. Sharpens savoury depth without irritation.
- Yeast extract. A powerhouse of umami that dogs adore, hypoallergenic and meat-free.
- Mint (in selected recipes). Freshens without triggering sensitivities.
Every ingredient is picked for tolerance and taste. No filler, no fluff.
Why Single Protein Wins
Most meat-based treats mix proteins (think “chicken & beef blend”) – a nightmare for sensitive dogs. Reactions flare up, and you’re left guessing which protein was the trigger. By sticking to clean plant proteins we make it far easier for sensitive dogs to enjoy treats without the drama. Sweet Potato and pea protein is consistent, digestible, and far less likely to spark intolerance than animal proteins.
